About This Cause

Want to join us in making a difference in the lives of our dear veterans and rescue dogs? We are raising money across the country to benefit Canine Companions Ltd, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us!

Our latest philanthropic effort is committed to providing a lasting and beautiful home for veterans with PTSD that includes skilled training and companionship with therapy and service dogs which results in an enhanced quality of life and the dignity they deserve. They fought for us, now join us as we fight for them!

Give veterans and rescue dogs a new lease on life! The money raised will be used to purchase a 2,700-acre property with a 13,000-square-foot main residence, two guest houses, a lake, a 50-seat theatre, a tennis court, a 14-foot lagoon-style pool, and a barn. After building a healthy foundation by successfully completing a one to three year residential program designed to support male and female veterans who are overcoming life-controlling issues, and recovering from drug and alcohol addictions, depression, and abuse, veterans will be eligible to live here as they rebuild their lives. Food, housing, transportation, education, and counseling, are provided free of charge.

Canine Companions LTD has been serving veterans for over 15 years. The non-profit was founded by Walter Hart Jr. in Michigan in 2001. We are a registered 501 (c) (3) aiming to empower veterans to engage with their local communities and build a symbiotic relationship. Veterans serve their fellow vets by training rescue and other dogs that will provide invaluable emotional, mental, and physical support to their future veteran owners. Currently we work out of three states: Michigan, Arizona and California. In Arizona and California, Canine Companions works through local Dream Centers that serve veterans. To find out more about the Dream Center in Los Angeles check out their website at: https://dreamcenter.org/.

MISSION:
Our program’s mission is to uplift and empower veterans by arming them with a marketable skill that simultaneously allows them to give back to fellow veterans with a service dog.
